Honest, anonymous feedback

Guests stay anonymous. No login, no account, no email. The QR code opens a short survey in the browser — one to five stars, and a free‑text field if they want to add something.

Because nothing identifies them, guests say what they actually think. The gap between "everything was great" at the table and what arrives in TapTell is the whole reason this works.

QR code management

Generate as many QR codes as you need and label them for tables or areas. Download them as PDF and put them where guests see them: a sticker on the table, a small table tent, the bill folder, or a sticker on the menu.

If your POS system supports a custom receipt footer (Orderbird, Lightspeed, SumUp, Vectron, ready2order and most modern systems do), you can also print the QR directly on the receipt — but you don't have to.

Each feedback keeps the QR label, so you can see where it came from in the feedback list and detail view.

AI summaries & sentiment

This is a Pro feature. Reading every comment is fine for the first week. After that, patterns start to hide in the noise. TapTell analyzes categories and sentiment, then sends a short weekly summary of what changed.

You stay in control: every raw comment is still there, one click away.

Alerts for critical feedback

This is a Pro feature. A furious guest is most reachable in the first hour after they leave. TapTell notices one‑ and two‑star ratings and emails you immediately — so you can respond with a call, a message, or a comp before they write a public review.

Alerts are configurable in the current app by on/off switch and rating threshold.

Filters

Dashboards are only useful when you can ask specific questions. TapTell lets everyone filter feedback by time range and star rating. With Pro, AI category filters based on the AI analysis are added on top.

GDPR by design

Guests don't create accounts, we don't set cookies on the rating page, and we don't collect emails. IP addresses are hashed before storage, never kept as raw addresses.

Your own dashboard data stays in the EU. Restaurants, QR codes and individual feedback entries can be removed in the app; full account deletion is available from Settings with email confirmation.
